Christina Tallulah Lanier, Esq. is a Senior Associate Attorney at Brotman Law, where she focuses on federal tax controversy and tax refund litigation. Drawing on her background in high-stakes government enforcement and litigation, Tallulah brings a powerful skillset to representing taxpayers facing IRS disputes across the country.

Before joining Brotman Law, Tallulah served as a Trial Attorney at the U.S. Department of Justice, Tax Division, where she was selected through the Attorney General’s Honors Program—the Department of Justice’s highly competitive hiring track for top entry-level attorneys. At the DOJ, she represented the IRS in federal district courts nationwide, handling cases involving tax collections, refund claims, return preparer injunctions, and unlawful disclosure of tax information.

Tallulah has argued motions and managed complex litigation in federal district and bankruptcy courts across California, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, and New Jersey, as well as before the United States Court of Federal Claims. Her casework included refund claims, John Doe summons petitions, and tax matters in bankruptcy proceedings.

She earned her J.D. from Emory University School of Law in 2021, where she served as Executive Managing Editor of the Emory Law Journal and as an editor for the Journal of Law and Religion. She also completed externships with the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia and the U.S. Court of International Trade. Tallulah is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and will begin pursuing an LL.M. in Taxation at Georgetown University Law Center in Fall 2025.

Outside of her professional life, Tallulah is an avid reader with a personal goal of finishing 75 books this year. She enjoys traveling with friends and family—recently visiting India, Jamaica, and the Outer Banks, with upcoming trips to Greece and Morocco. A passionate home cook, she’s known for creative recipes using farmers market ingredients, including her garlic scape pesto and curried beet soup. She shares life with her husband, Sush, and two rescue dogs, Bella and Anna.
