Juan Ojeda Jr., MSA, MBA is a Legal Assistant at Brotman Law, where he supports attorneys in federal and state tax controversy matters, including IRS audits and collections, payroll tax analysis, and back-year compliance. With over eight years of experience in firm-side and private practice tax roles, Juan brings a senior-level tax background and a process-driven approach to complex financial cases.

At Brotman Law, Juan supports attorneys with financial and document analysis in matters involving audits, ERC claims, and back-year tax compliance. He helps manage intake, structure client files, and prepare materials to support case strategy and resolution. His strong accounting foundation and prior experience position him to handle complex documentation with precision and reliability, helping ensure that matters are positioned accurately and efficiently for resolution.

Before joining the firm, Juan held senior tax and tax management roles supporting attorneys and Enrolled Agents across a wide range of federal and state matters. His background includes high-volume return preparation and quality control, offer-in-compromise advisory support, audit response drafting, and entity compliance planning across matters involving the IRS, FTB, CDTFA, and EDD.

Juan holds a Master of Science in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, graduating summa cum laude, from Southern New Hampshire University. He also holds an MBA from the European Business School of Barcelona (ENEB) and an MBA Certificate from Augment Business School. He is a CPA candidate with the Nevada State Board of Accountancy, is currently pursuing Enrolled Agent licensure, and holds certifications including CTEC Registered Tax Preparer (CRTP) and Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst (FMVA).

Juan was drawn to the tax profession for its combination of technical precision and real-world impact. He enjoys unraveling complex compliance histories and helping individuals and businesses get back on track through systems that make compliance manageable, accurate, and defensible.

Outside of work, Juan is an avid vinyl collector, with a longtime passion for hip-hop, soul, funk, and jazz that dates back to his college years. His collection once peaked at nearly 9,000 records. He enjoys traveling with his wife and has explored destinations throughout Hawaii and Mexico, with plans to travel internationally. A lifelong dog lover, Juan and his wife have had several emotional support pets over the years and recently welcomed a new addition to the family: Kobe, a 15-week-old Maltipoo.
