Tara Pullano

Associate Attorney

Tara Pullano, Esq. is an Associate Attorney at Brotman Law, where she focuses on Employee Retention Credit (ERC) matters, including qualification assessments, IRS audits, withdrawal compliance, and contract disputes. Tara brings a thoughtful, research-driven approach to complex tax issues—backed by years of legal experience and a strong academic foundation in business and tax law.

Before joining Brotman Law, Tara spent nearly seven years as a probate paralegal, where she managed high-volume caseloads and developed a meticulous approach to legal documentation and client service. She later earned her J.D., cum laude, from Chicago-Kent College of Law, where she also earned a Certificate in Business Law and was recognized for her advocacy on behalf of disabled students with the SBA’s Excellence in Diversity Award. During law school, Tara developed a passion for tax law and received the CALI Award for the highest grade in her Personal Income Tax course.

Tara has drafted ERC opinion letters for employers with claims ranging from $50,000 to over $3 million. She has represented clients in ERC audits before the IRS, assisted with ERC withdrawal compliance, and supported resolution of contract disputes involving third-party ERC providers.

Tara holds a B.A. in Philosophy and Religious Studies, magna cum laude, from the University of Arizona, and earned an Advanced Paralegal Certificate from Pima Community College. Prior to her legal career, she served two terms with AmeriCorps, supporting newly resettled refugee communities while fighting food waste—an experience that continues to inform her values and commitment to service.
