Privacy Policy
Effective date: April 25, 2026
Brotman Law (“we,” “the firm”) operates an internal data-intelligence application (“the Application”) that connects to our internal accounting and operations systems, including QuickBooks Online. This policy describes what the Application accesses, how it stores data, and who has access.
Scope
The Application is used solely by Brotman Law and its authorized personnel for internal financial monitoring, reporting, and decision support. It is not made available to clients, the general public, or any third party.
Data Accessed
When connected to QuickBooks Online, the Application reads accounting records belonging to Brotman Law, including invoices, payments, accounts, and profit-and-loss reports. The Application does not access, store, or transmit data belonging to any other QuickBooks Online customer.
Storage and Security
Data retrieved from QuickBooks Online is stored locally on a Brotman Law-controlled computer in an encrypted SQLite database. OAuth refresh tokens and access tokens are encrypted at rest. The Application does not transmit firm data to any external server other than Intuit’s own QuickBooks Online API.
Access
Access to the Application and its underlying data is restricted to the Managing Partner of Brotman Law and authorized firm personnel.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share data accessed by the Application with any third party.
Retention
Data is retained as part of the firm’s internal business records in accordance with applicable legal and accounting retention requirements.
Disconnection
The QuickBooks Online connection can be revoked at any time from the QuickBooks Online “Apps” settings or by deleting the OAuth credentials within the Application.
